Bizdooroo (비즈두루, the “Developer”) sets out below the terms for using Bitmal - LED Scrolling Sign (빛말) (the “Service” or the “App”). The handling of personal information is covered by the separate Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

  1. These terms apply to everyone who buys, installs, and uses the App from Google Play or the App Store.
  2. By buying or using the App you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App and request a refund through the store’s refund process.
  3. For an App obtained from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies (the Developer registers no separate EULA), and where the two documents conflict, Apple’s agreement prevails. For an App obtained from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
  4. Where mandatory law differs from these terms, the law applies. Nothing in these terms reduces the rights that the law guarantees to consumers.

2. The Service

  1. The App is a tool that shows the text you type large on the screen, like an LED sign. Every feature runs on your device; there is no sign-up or account, and the text and settings you enter are never sent to the Developer’s servers.
  2. Every feature of the App is included in the purchase price. The App contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no paywalled features.
  3. The Developer may add, change, or improve features through updates. Some features (for example Sound, which uses the microphone, video export, or home-screen quick actions) may be unavailable on some operating systems or devices; which features are on which platform can be seen in the App and in the store description.
  4. The desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and web versions are not distributed publicly. The share-link page (hoppipolla.me/textled/s) is a free viewer that lets someone without the App preview a sign that was shared with them; it does not replace the App.

3. Purchase, Payment, and Refunds

  1. Pricing, payment, receipts, and refunds follow the policies and procedures of the store where you bought the App (Google Play or the App Store) and applicable law (including Korea’s Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce). The Developer does not take payments or process refunds outside the stores.
  2. No payment of any kind happens inside the App.
  3. A purchase belongs to the store account that made it. You can reinstall the App on devices signed in to that same store account under the store’s rules. The App has no account of its own, so a purchase on Google Play does not transfer to the App Store, or the other way round.
  4. Whether family sharing (Google Play Family Library, Apple Family Sharing) applies depends on each store’s settings and policies.
  5. The Developer’s business details (business name, business registration number, mail-order business report number, contact details) can be found in the seller information each store provides and on the App’s product page; any item a store does not show is provided on request by email (section 10).

4. Your Responsibilities

  1. You decide what text to show or share, and you are responsible for it. Do not show or share text that infringes the rights or reputation of others, breaks the law, or violates the rules of the place you are in.
  2. Do not use the App while driving, mount it in a vehicle as a sign, or use it in a way that distracts drivers or pedestrians. The App is not a traffic sign, an emergency signal, or safety equipment.
  3. By default the App limits blinking to three flashes per second. Faster blinking is available only after you confirm a photosensitive-seizure notice; when you use such settings, consider the people around you. If you are sensitive to light, we recommend not using the blink features.
  4. Sign links, QR codes, and files shared with you were made by the person who sent them. Be careful when opening content from someone you do not know.
  5. Do not reverse engineer or modify the App, or copy, redistribute, or sell the App itself. The bundled fonts may be redistributed within what each font’s license allows (section 5), but the fonts may not be sold on their own.

5. Downloadable Packs

  1. Additional font, phrase, background, and style packs are optional and are downloaded only when you tap “Get”, from the public content delivery network jsDelivr and from GitHub-operated hosts. These are free public services not operated by the Developer, so the Developer does not guarantee that pack downloads are always available or fast. Packs you have already downloaded and the App’s core features keep working without an internet connection.
  2. Fonts are provided under their makers’ licenses (SIL Open Font License 1.1 or Apache License 2.0). The full license text is installed with the pack and can be read on the App’s open-source licenses screen. The fonts are not sold as part of the App’s price and are never sold separately.
  3. The phrase, background, and style packs made by the Developer are published under CC BY 4.0.

6. Intellectual Property

  1. The rights to the App’s software, design, icon, and built-in templates and phrases belong to the Developer or the respective rights holders. You receive a non-exclusive right to use the App on the devices of the store account that bought it; you may not copy, redistribute, or sell the App itself.
  2. The text you type and the signs and styles you make are yours. The Developer claims no rights to them and never receives or stores them.
  3. The conditions for submitting a style to the official style packs are described in the public repository (BizDooroo/textled-assets).

7. Warranty and Limitation of Liability

  1. The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, the Developer does not warrant that the App behaves identically on every device or operating-system version, is fit for a particular purpose, or is available without interruption.
  2. To the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for disputes arising from text you show or share, accidents caused by improper use of the App (such as use while driving or mounting in a vehicle), inconvenience from pack downloads failing because of outside infrastructure, or effects that depend on your device’s screen or battery condition.
  3. This section does not apply to damage caused by the Developer’s intent or gross negligence, or to liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.

8. Changes to These Terms

When these terms change, the changes and their effective date are posted on this page at least 7 days before they take effect (at least 30 days for changes that are material or unfavorable to users), and material changes are also noted in the App’s update notes. Changed terms apply from their effective date and not to earlier use; if you do not accept a change, you may stop using the App and request a refund under applicable law and the store’s policy.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea. Please raise any dispute first through the contact below, and we will discuss it in good faith; consumers may also apply for mediation to the bodies provided by law, such as the Korea Consumer Agency. Lawsuits are brought before the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
